SCHAUMBURG, IL — Season 1 of the USA Champions Cricket League (USACLT20) came to an exciting close. The Trailbalzers have made history by becoming the first ever USACLT20 champions cup winners in 2026. They secured the championship title with a dominant 9 wicket victory over the two-time defending champions, Team Schaumburg champions in the grand finale.
It was a strong finish to the 2026 Season 1, which featured 12 teams. Trailblazers controlled the championship match with an impressive performance in both bowling and batting.
Schaumburg Champions Bat First
Schaumburg Champions won the toss and chose to bat first in the final. The team had the opportunity to put a competitive total on the board, but the Trailblazers bowling attack kept things under control.
Schaumburg Champions were bowled out for 75 runs in 19.3 overs. With the total well below what they would have wanted in a championship match, Trailblazers were left with a relatively small target of 76 runs to win the title.
Trailblazers Make Quick Work of the Chase
Trailblazers did not take long to finish the job. The team chased down the target in just eight overs, losing only one wicket along the way.
The result was a nine-wicket victory for Trailblazers and a championship that puts the team into the USACLT20 record books as the first-ever Champions Cup winners.
The final was a clear display of Trailblazers' control. After restricting Schaumburg Champions to 75, the champions completed the chase quickly and without allowing the match to become a close contest.
Sai Sravan Rakesh Saripalli was named Player of the Match for his contribution to the Trailblazers' championship-winning performance.
The individual award was another highlight of a memorable day for Trailblazers, who finished the final with a convincing all-around performance.
12 Teams Helped Make Season 1 a Success
The 2026 Season 1 brought together 12 teams for the first USACLT20 competition. Every participating team played a part in making the Season 1 a grand success.
Players and team owners put in the work to participate, while umpires, volunteers and supporters helped keep the competition moving from one match to the next.
Organizers Thank Everyone Involved
As Season 1 came to an end, the organizers thanked everyone who helped make the tournament possible. Their appreciation went to all the players, team owners, umpires, volunteers and supporters who contributed to the season.
